Today, we dipped our toes in Tunisia! Students had different Tunisian centres, where they learned facts (Did you know that Tunisia has a drought every 3-4 years? Or that children go to school six days a week?), resources, what importing and exporting are, what Tunisia exports, and played a game called Mankala. Cheryl, our guide, finished off by reading a book called Galimoto, written by Karen Lynn Williams, a story about a boy named Kondi who designs and makes a toy vehicle out of scrap metal. I’m thinking this might be a good springboard into designing with different materials! We finished our layouts for our Peru Centres, had Music, and finished up some Visual Journal pages by adding in more details and colour. Cheerios! Ms Lauf Comments are closed.
